Cloud Credits and AI Credits, explained

What each credit type covers, where to check balances, and how billing works during the public beta.

What each credit type covers

PocketBay tracks usage with two credit types. Cloud Credits cover the cost of running your app — container runtime, builds, network traffic, storage, versions, and snapshots. AI Credits cover AI usage — model calls, conversation context, tool calls, and AI Agent tasks.Simple rule: keeping your app online, visited, and built spends Cloud; having AI do work for you (including platform AI features in Bayo chats) spends AI.

Where to check balances and usage

  • Console "Credits" page: see your Cloud and AI balances.
  • Console "Subscription & billing" page: see your current plan, usage summary, and ledger entries.
  • Balances and ledger entries are also available via the open API — see the Open API guide.

What happens when a balance runs low

During the public beta, all plans are free with no real charges — low balances never block features, and the platform surfaces usage prompts instead.Deduction order, quota limits, and recovery rules after paid launch will be announced before they take effect.

Billing during beta

The pricing page offers six plans from Free to Team for testing the subscription flow — no real charges. Both credit types are tracked by actual usage so you can preview costs after GA. Plan quotas and commercial terms may change with advance notice.

How estimates and credit deductions are calculated

Estimates are converted from predicted build time, runtime and traffic before deployment, and are for reference only. Actual usage is recorded by real consumption—how long the app runs, how much traffic it serves, how many builds happen—so two deployments rarely deduct the same amount. When someone visits your app, the runtime and traffic cost is recorded on the app owner's account (yours); visitors never need an account. During the open beta all plans are free with no real charges; final rates and rules will be announced before billing starts.
